The Ease Of A New Year

By Raquel Issenberg

I hope your spirits are all in place, ready to breeze you through your practice and your path.

There’s an emotional common place where we might fall when we begin a new cycle: the unease of a new year.

As engaged and active human beings, the uncertainty, the expectations, and previous conditioning can bring unsettling feelings that are originated from our always busy minds.

In perspective, January 2022 is only another month on the calendar, and today is another day of the week. Time serves us to frame our life experiences but it is not meant to overwhelm us. Our minds, conditioned from our different journeys, can “inform” us serveral things but remember that we are not our thoughts, hence we’re not our emotions.

We are inherently happy and whole.

We tend to our physical bodies and our minds because is important to care for the instrument we use to experience life, but our essential nature goes beyond matter.

We are already joyful, we just need to remember.

I wish you good days, good hours, and beautiful minutes!

I will update you later in the year about my new yoga and meditation classes, courses, and different activities so you can jump in!

Warmly,

Raquel

“The spiritual journey is individual, highly personal. It can't be organized or regulated. It isn't true that everyone should follow one path. Listen to your own truth.”

Remember that the goal of yoga is to calm the fluctuations of the mind. The purpose of asana (yogic poses) is to balance the nervous system aiming for deeper insights and a steady meditation sit-up. If you’re a seeker of these subtle practices, follow me for new updates on my special Insta below
