The Intention of Breath Awareness

By Raquel Issenberg

How is your year going so far? Too soon?

Intentions/no intentions, just be. Make friends with your breath again. Five senses and all.

One of my favorite remarks from a beloved teacher is (paraphrasing) “The mind is a beautiful tool. We can learn how to use it instead of being used by it”.

When the fluctuations of the mind get spikey we can hit the breaks by focusing on the air we take in and the air we let go of. This is just a reminder that the breath is the mirror of the soul, inherently linked to the heart.

Reconnect & reassess.
